Cookie Policy

Effective Date: February 18, 2026

This Cookie Policy ("Policy") explains how Social4Commerce Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the sellandtell.ai website, the Sell & Tell platform dashboard, and the embeddable SELL AI agent Widget (collectively, the "Services"). This Policy supplements our Privacy Notice, which is available at sellandtell.ai/legal/privacy.

By continuing to use the Services after being presented with our cookie consent notice, You consent to the use of cookies and similar technologies as described in this Policy, except for Strictly Necessary Cookies, which do not require Your consent as they are essential for the Services to function. You may withdraw or modify Your consent at any time as described in Section 6 below.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

1.1 Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on Your device (computer, smartphone, tablet, or other device) when You visit a website or use an online service. Cookies are widely used to make websites and services work more efficiently, to remember Your preferences, and to provide information to the operators of the website or service. Cookies may be set by the website You are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by a third party that provides content or functionality on the website ("third-party cookies").

1.2 Session and Persistent Cookies

Session Cookies are temporary cookies that remain on Your device only during Your browsing session and are automatically deleted when You close Your browser. Persistent Cookies remain on Your device for a set period of time or until You manually delete them. Persistent cookies help recognize You as a returning visitor and allow us to tailor the Services to Your preferences.

1.3 Similar Technologies

In addition to cookies, we may use the following similar technologies:

  • Pixels and Web Beacons: Small, transparent images embedded in web pages or emails that allow us to track whether a page has been viewed, an email has been opened, or a link has been clicked.
  • Local Storage: Technology that allows a website or application to store data locally on Your device, similar to cookies but with a larger storage capacity. This includes HTML5 local storage and session storage.
  • Device Fingerprinting: The collection of information about Your device's configuration (such as browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and installed plugins) to create a unique identifier for Your device. We use this only for fraud prevention and security purposes.

References to "cookies" throughout this Policy include these similar technologies unless the context requires otherwise.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for the following general purposes:

  • Essential Operations: To enable basic functionality of the Services, including authentication, security, session management, and load balancing.
  • Performance and Analytics: To understand how visitors interact with the Services, measure traffic patterns, identify errors, and improve the user experience.
  • Functionality and Preferences: To remember Your settings, preferences, language selections, and customizations so that You do not have to re-enter them each time You visit.
  • Marketing and Advertising: To deliver relevant content and advertisements, measure advertising effectiveness, and limit the frequency of ad display. These cookies may be set by our advertising partners.
  • Widget Operations: To enable the proper functioning of the SELL AI agent Widget on Customer ecommerce stores, including maintaining conversation state, remembering Shopper preferences within a session, and facilitating the collection of Shopper Interaction Data on behalf of our Customers.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

The following tables describe the specific cookies used across the Services. We organize cookies into four categories based on their purpose.

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Services to function and cannot be disabled. They are usually set in response to actions You take, such as logging in, setting privacy preferences, or filling in forms. Without these cookies, the Services cannot operate properly. These cookies do not require Your consent under applicable law.

3.2 Performance and Analytics Cookies

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so that we can measure and improve the performance of the Services. They help us understand which pages are the most and least popular and how visitors move through the site. All information collected by these cookies is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If You do not allow these cookies, we will not be able to monitor and improve the Services.

3.3 Functionality Cookies

These cookies enable the Services to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to the Services. If You do not allow these cookies, some or all of these features may not function properly.

3.4 Marketing and Targeting Cookies

These cookies may be set through our Services by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of Your interests and show You relevant advertisements on other sites. They do not directly store personal information but are based on uniquely identifying Your browser and internet device. If You do not allow these cookies, You will experience less targeted advertising.

4. Cookies Used by the SELL AI Agent Widget

When a Customer installs the SELL AI agent Widget on their ecommerce store, certain cookies are placed on Shoppers' devices to enable the Widget to function properly. The following cookies are specific to the Widget and are set on Customer ecommerce store domains:

Important Note for Customers: If You are a Sell & Tell Customer who has installed the SELL AI agent Widget on Your ecommerce store, You are responsible for disclosing these Widget cookies in Your own cookie policy or consent banner. The Company provides standard disclosure language in its Documentation that You may use or adapt for this purpose. As described in our Data Processing Agreement, these Widget cookies collect data on Your behalf, and You (as the data controller or business) are responsible for obtaining any required Shopper consents.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages or that we use to provide certain features. We do not control the cookies set by these third parties, and their use is governed by the respective third party's privacy policy. The primary third-party cookie providers used in the Services include:

We regularly review the third-party services used in the Services. The third-party providers listed above may change from time to time. A current list of sub-processors (which may overlap with third-party cookie providers) is maintained at sellandtell.ai/legal/subprocessors.

6. How to Manage and Control Cookies

6.1 Cookie Consent Banner

When You first visit the Services, You will be presented with a cookie consent banner that allows You to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You may modify Your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of any page on sellandtell.ai or by visiting sellandtell.ai/cookie-preferences.

6.2 Browser Controls

Most web browsers allow You to manage cookies through their settings. You can typically configure Your browser to: (a) block all cookies; (b) accept only first-party cookies; (c) delete cookies when You close Your browser; or (d) notify You when a cookie is being set. The following links provide instructions for managing cookies in common browsers:

  • Google Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
  • Mozilla Firefox: support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cookies-information-websites-store-on-your-computer

Please be aware that blocking or deleting cookies may impact the functionality of the Services. If You block Strictly Necessary Cookies, certain features of the Services may not work properly.

6.3 Google Analytics Opt-Out

You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript from sharing visit activity data with Google Analytics.

6.4 Advertising Opt-Outs

You may opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the following industry opt-out mechanisms:

  • Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA): optout.aboutads.info
  • Network Advertising Initiative (NAI): optout.networkadvertising.org
  • European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA): youronlinechoices.eu

Please note that opting out of interest-based advertising does not mean You will no longer see advertisements; it means the advertisements You see may be less relevant to Your interests.

6.5 Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that You do not wish to be tracked. There is no universally accepted standard for how to respond to DNT signals. At this time, the Services do not respond to DNT signals. However, You may use the cookie controls described in this Section 6 to manage Your tracking preferences. For users in jurisdictions that recognize Global Privacy Control (GPC), the Services will honor GPC signals as opt-out requests for the sale or sharing of personal information, as required by applicable law.

7. Cookies and International Data Transfers

Some of the third-party cookie providers listed in this Policy are located outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. When personal data collected through cookies is transferred to countries that do not provide an adequate level of data protection, such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards as described in our Privacy Notice, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

8. Cookies and Children

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through cookies or any other means. If You believe that a child under 18 has provided personal information to us, please contact us at privacy@sellandtell.ai and we will take steps to delete such information.

9. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Services, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this Policy and, where required by applicable law, provide additional notice (such as a prominent banner on the Services or an email notification). We encourage You to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
